Grading for Equity Book Study

Grading for Equity examines the history of traditional grading practices and reveals the benefits of practices that are more equitable– more accurate, bias-resistant, and motivational.

The Grading for Equity Book Study is a new program that provides a structured approach to collectively engage teachers and administrators (and even caregivers and students!) in meaningful discussions about the why, the what, and the how of equitable grading.

What to Expect

Book Study Participants will:

  • Develop a solid understanding of equitable grading practices.
  • Collaborate with educators across the country in meaningful discussions about equitable grading.
  • Improve grading practices to promote more fairness and inclusivity, reduce stress, and strengthen effective teaching and learning.
  • Gain practical strategies for implementing equitable grading in the classroom.
